You will be tasked with ensuring effective and efficient operations and excellent customer outcomes, through warehouse management, inventory ownership, data analysis, team leadership and cross functional collaboration. We seek a seasoned, passionate and enthusiastic partner with experience in the home furnishing/furniture space who can help us continue our growth and further our commitment to a customer-first mindset. Responsibilities + Overview: Logistics + Operations Management: • Oversee the warehouse team, including receiving, inventory management and order fulfilment • Responsible for inventory control, order fulfillment, and receipt and distribution of products for all sales channels and physical locations • Ownership of transportation operations, including carrier selection and delivery management - inbound and outbound • Develop and implement logistics and packaging strategies to meet business objectives and improve customer satisfaction and quality, ensuring on-time delivery and cost-effective transportation solutions • Optimize national distribution networks and replenishment between LA and NYC store locations • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms and consistency in service. Build partnerships and hold vendors accountable • Develop and implement strategies to assist in optimizing inventory levels across our sales channels, balancing service levels with working capital objectives • Analyze data to assess performance and identify opportunities for logistical and operational opportunities and devise plans/SOP for improvements • Define and implement operational policies, identify areas for automation • Implement and monitor KPIs to measure the performance of the business • Develop and manage budgets in accordance with the financial goals of the organization Team Leadership + Development • Lead with an innovative mindset, which enables unique solutions to operational deficiencies, budgeting limitations or employee feedback • Collaborate with other departments and business owners to carry out the organisation's goals and objectives • Meet weekly with the Leadership Team to relay the progress of organisational strategies or address concerns about current procedures • Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management • Identify training needs of direct reports and ensures proper training is developed and provided Other Skills: • Manufacturing experience and work with custom/one-of-a-kind goods desired • Ability to speak and/or fluency in Spanish preferred • Experience with Shopify • Other projects and tasks as assigned to meet the needs of the business • Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time throughout the workday. • Frequently required to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 50lbs. • Visual and auditory ability to identify hazards, communicate with team members, and follow safety protocols.
