JOB SUMMARY The Quality Inspector position conducts origination inspection of parts and supplies, ensuring the quality of products through thorough assessment and analyses using specific procedural standards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES • Follows standardized procedures to perform first part, final and receiving inspections on a wide variety of parts and assemblies. • Utilizes standard mechanical and electrical instruments, functional gauges and test rigs. • Accurately compares products to engineering drawings/specifications, purchase order and inspection plans using common manual inspection equipment. • Identifies and documents non-conformances. • Provides constructive feedback for quality improvement. • Works under direct supervision and in accordance with instructions and techniques. • This job description reflects the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this position. Additional duties and responsibilities may be required, based upon business needs, at any time with or without notice. QUALIFICATIONS • One (1) year of quality inspection experience or equivalent specialized training which may be obtained in vocational courses or on the job. • Proficient use of basic meteorology equipment including, but not limited to, calipers, height gage, surface plate, protractor, radius gauge, micrometer and dial indicator. • Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) desired • Inspection skills with FARO Arm and Programmable CMM desired • Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, to express needs and ask questions. • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. • Knowledge of and familiarity in Microsoft office products and ERP manufacturing software. • Basic computer tasks (MS Windows, Office, ERP Software). PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to lift 25lbs with or without accommodations. Monday through Thursday 5AM-3:30PM
