Position - Node.js Tech Lead Location- Remote Project Context Passio is integrating with Project Oracle ETA and addressing stability issues in the platform (e.g., vehicle assignment logic, ETA calculations). The Tech Lead drives architecture, coordination with Oracle and Passio engineers, and stabilization efforts. Summary We need a Node.js Tech Lead to own architecture understanding, integration design, and rollout strategy for the Oracle ETA integration. You will coordinate with the Oracle team (Wayne, Tim) and existing Passio engineers, guide ETA stabilization, and ensure a clear implementation path and timeline for the team. Key Responsibilities • Drive understanding of the Passio ETA v2 pipeline and integration architecture; document and socialize design decisions. • Own integration design and rollout strategy for the Oracle ETA service; align with Oracle on API contract and availability. • Coordinate with Oracle and Passio engineers; participate in or lead technical discussions and API contract finalization. • Guide stabilization efforts for ETA functionality and system reliability (vehicle assignment, ETA calculations). • Support the Senior Node.js and PHP engineers so that delivery stays on track (~4–6 weeks for integration and pilot validation). • Keep stakeholders updated on progress, risks, and timeline. Qualifications • Experience: 6+ years in backend development with Node.js; 2+ years in a tech lead or architect role. • Integration & APIs: Strong experience designing and integrating external services and defining API contracts. • Architecture: Ability to reason about data models, pipelines, and rollout with minimal disruption to existing clients. • Coordination: Experience working with external teams and in-house engineers in a distributed setting. • Communication: Clear written and verbal communication for design docs, status updates, and risk escalation. • Nice to have: Domain exposure to transit, ETA, or real-time prediction systems; familiarity with Passio or similar platforms.
