Technical / Deskside Support Specialist IV — Austin, TX (Onsite) Contract | Full-time | M–F | 8am–5pm CST Overview The Client Services team provides high-touch end-user support across U.S. and international offices. This role serves as the primary onsite IT support for the Austin office — ensuring fast, friendly resolution of hardware, software, AV, and collaboration technology issues. You will work independently day-to-day, while also partnering remotely with a broader support organization. Responsibilities • Serve as the onsite point of contact for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, AV equipment, and collaboration tools • Troubleshoot and resolve tickets received via ServiceNow/call-ins/walk-ups • Support Windows 10/11 and macOS environments in a mixed enterprise setting • Install, configure, and maintain hardware/software, peripherals, and approved third-party applications (Office 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, WebEx, etc.) • Provide AV & Microsoft Teams Room support, including meeting setup and audio/video troubleshooting • Perform IMACs (installs, moves, adds, changes) and validate device readiness before deployment • Assist with identity & access and Azure log review • Conduct basic network connectivity troubleshooting and escalate when necessary • Maintain accurate documentation and proactively follow through on open issues • Deliver outstanding customer service while promoting preventative technology practices Technical Requirements • 8+ years deskside/field support experience in an enterprise environment • Proficient with Windows and macOS (Austin is a heavy Apple user community) • Strong hardware background supporting Dell systems • Hands-on experience with Intune and Jamf • Office 365 ecosystem support (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive) • Basic networking fundamentals (LAN/WLAN, VPN, printer networking) • Familiarity navigating in Azure for user/device troubleshooting • Ability to manage high ticket volume while delivering fast resolutions Soft Skills & Culture Fit • Friendly, outgoing communicator — this is a people-forward office • Comfortable being the sole onsite technician; confident with independent decisions • Professional presence and strong ownership mindset • Able to quickly build rapport with business stakeholders Preferred Certifications • Dell, HP, Lenovo hardware certifications • CompTIA A+/Net+; Microsoft MCP/MD-100/MD-101 highly desirable Additional Details • Paired onboarding with a seasoned technician • 2-step interview process via Microsoft Teams • Opportunity for extension; no current expectation of FTE conversion
