Role Overview: As the Lead AWS Cloud Engineer, you will spearhead the design, implementation, and management of AWS cloud infrastructure to support critical federal projects. Your expertise will ensure scalable, secure, and compliant cloud solutions that meet stringent government standards. What You'll Do: - You will lead the architecture and deployment of AWS cloud environments tailored to federal requirements. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing IT infrastructure. - You will develop and enforce security best practices and compliance protocols in cloud operations. - You will monitor and optimize cloud performance, cost, and reliability. - You will mentor and guide junior engineers to build a high-performing cloud team. - You will manage cloud migration projects, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency. - You will document cloud architectures, processes, and procedures for audit and knowledge sharing. - You will stay current with AWS advancements and recommend innovative solutions to enhance capabilities. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in AWS cloud engineering or related roles. - Strong proficiency with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, and IAM. - Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. - Deep understanding of cloud security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST). - Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex cloud projects. - U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal clearance requirements. Bonus Points If You Have: - AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or equivalent certification. - Experience working in federal or defense contracting environments. - Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. - Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
