Job Responsibilities • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments for various medical services, ensuring optimal use of provider time and resources. • Communicate with patients to confirm appointment details, provide necessary information, and resolve any scheduling conflicts. • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems and scheduling software to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. • Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to ensure alignment on scheduling needs and patient flow. • Handle incoming calls and inquiries related to appointment scheduling, providing excellent customer service and support. • Assist with patient reminders and follow-up communications to enhance patient attendance and satisfaction. • Monitor and manage appointment cancellations and rescheduling requests, ensuring minimal disruption to patient care. • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations regarding patient information. Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration or related field is a plus. • Previous experience in medical scheduling or healthcare administration preferred. • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and scheduling software. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare processes is an advantage. The pay range for this role is: 28.13 - 30.33 USD per hour(Remote (Frederick, Maryland, US))
