Full Description

Job Summary The HR Assistant will provide administrative support to the Human Resources department, assisting with the daily operations of HR functions and programs. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth running of HR operations, including maintaining personnel records, coordinating recruitment and onboarding, and serving as a reliable point of contact for employee inquiries. Key Responsibilities • Administration & Documentation: • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records (both digital and hard copy) and ensure compliance with all data privacy regulations. • Process HR-related documentation, including new hire paperwork, terminations, promotions, and changes to employee status. • Recruitment & Onboarding: • Coordinate the scheduling of interviews and communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process. • Prepare new hire packets and conduct preliminary new employee orientations. • Assist with background checks and reference checks. • Employee Support: • Serve as the first point of contact for general employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits. • Assist in the planning and execution of employee engagement activities and internal events. • Benefits & Payroll (Support Role): • Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs (e.g., health, dental, 401k) and coordinate open enrollment activities. • Liaise with the Payroll department to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll changes. Required Qualifications • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or office support role, preferably within an HR department. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Desired Skills & Competencies • Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion. • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Organization: Strong organizational and time management skills with a keen attention to detail. • Interpersonal: A professional, positive, and service-oriented demeanor when interacting with employees and external contacts. • Problem-Solving: Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Reporting Structure This position reports directly to the HR Director Job: Full- time Pay: $18-$20 DEO Benefits: • 40 hours sick (after 90 days) • 40 hours vacation (accrued per pay period, available after 6 months) • Medical, dental, vision & life insurance (after 60days) • 401k plan (after 1 year with the company, up to a 4% match) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Work Location: In person
