Full Description

Position Overview We are seeking a senior-level React Native Engineering Lead to drive the development and evolution of cross-platform mobile applications within an established native iOS and Android ecosystem. This role is hands-on and highly collaborative, with responsibility for technical leadership, architecture decisions, and end-to-end delivery of high-quality mobile experiences. The ideal candidate has deep React Native expertise, strong TypeScript skills, and experience integrating with native modules, while thriving in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment. Key Responsibilities • Lead the adoption and expansion of React Native within a brownfield native iOS and Android environment • Architect, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance mobile application features • Own mobile delivery end-to-end, from technical planning through production release • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and native mobile teams • Optimize application performance, including startup time, bundle size, memory usage, and frame-rate stability • Drive mobile architecture decisions, tooling strategy, and best practices • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, raising overall mobile engineering quality • Support shared cross-platform design systems and reusable UI component libraries Required Qualifications • Extensive experience building cross-platform mobile applications with React Native • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and maintainable, type-safe codebases • Hands-on experience bridging native modules and managing platform-specific configurations • Deep understanding of mobile UI implementation, state management, and platform behaviors • Proven ability to lead projects from concept through delivery • Strong communication and collaboration skills in hybrid (onsite/remote) team environments Preferred Qualifications • Experience supporting large mobile organizations with 10+ feature teams • Hands-on leadership of React Native adoption within complex native applications • Experience with React Native for Web • Familiarity with shared design systems and cross-platform component libraries • Expertise with Expo SDK, EAS Build/Submit/Update, and OTA deployment workflows • Knowledge of app distribution tools such as TestFlight and Google Play Console • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions and EAS Build • Proactive problem solver with a passion for modern mobile technologies
