Lead and support quality improvement staff and initiatives, coordinate with leadership and stakeholders, analyze program outcomes, and support equity and policy efforts in mental health programs.
At least 5 years of experience in mental health planning, policy, or quality improvement with supervisory experience, strong knowledge of mental health systems, program development, outcome evaluation, and equity frameworks.
About the position Responsibilities • Provide direct supervision, coaching, and support to Quality Improvement (QI) staff. • Organize and prioritize QI projects in alignment with bureau objectives and leadership direction. • Coordinate QI initiatives through collaborative planning with Office Directors, the Executive Director of Mental Health Programs, and the Assistant Commissioner. • Support the development and refinement of new and existing program models. • Participate in Request for Proposal (RFP) committees to shape and advance programmatic goals. • Analyze program outcomes using available data in collaboration with the Office of Research and Evaluation (ORE) to identify opportunities for innovation and improved mental health service delivery. • Support the implementation of the Bureau of Mental Health's (BMH) Racial Justice and Health Equity Initiatives. • Serve as a liaison with division planning staff and OMH in supporting the Prior Approval Review (PAR) process. • Assist with coordination of stakeholder engagement calls with providers, BMH staff, and other relevant partners. • Offer input as needed to policy team in responding to inquiries and addressing emerging local law and legislative issues affecting mental health programs. Requirements • At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in mental health planning, policy, or quality improvement, including supervisory experience. • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects in a health or human services setting. • Strong knowledge of mental health systems, program development, and outcome evaluation. • Familiarity with equity-focused frameworks and health justice initiatives. • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. • Proficiency in data analysis, policy interpretation, and collaborative problem-solving.
