Instructional Coach/Site Coordinator Dual Role - iLearn Hudson Anticipated start date September 22, 2025; contingent upon funding Reports To: Program Manager Site Information • Location: • iLearn Hudson Elementary School (Grade 3) -131 Midland Ave. Kearny, NJ 07032 • iLearn Hudson Middle School (Grades 4-8) - 114 Chestnut St. Kearny, NJ 07032 • Embedded school day tutoring program • Exact schedule: Monday - Thursday 8:45am-3:45pm • Hours do not exceed 29 hours per week • Paid training Basic Function The New Jersey Tutoring Corps Inc. provides high-impact tutoring for pre-K through Grade 8 students in math and literacy to close learning gaps. Tutoring will be embedded in established networks of community-based organizations in high-need communities during the summer program. The New Jersey Tutoring Corps is seeking to hire Instructional Coaches to oversee tutor performance and technical logistics of the program. Essential Functions • Works with NJTC/PATC program management as well as the district/community partner point-of-contact to develop strong relationships with the site staff and community • Ensures that tutors have the necessary materials needed to help scholars succeed. • Completes and submits digital records of tutor and scholar attendance, scholar rosters, and site concerns. • Works closely with program staff and participates in weekly coaching meetings with tutors • Manages the tutor's work schedules. • Apprise the Program Manager of staff issues immediately and helps work to resolve them. • Review tutor performance and provide guidance as needed. • Ensure that tutors are using all materials needed to help scholars succeed. • Observe tutoring sessions and provide constructive feedback to tutors. • Assist tutors with data-driven instruction using iReady. • Provides coverage in the absence of a tutor. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s or Master's degree • Proven coaching experience in the public or charter school system (strongly recommended); • History of overseeing the work of others, providing feedback, and course correction when applicable • Leadership experience negotiating with administrative faculty (a plus, not required) • Standard certificate, certificate of eligibility (CE), or certificate of eligibility with advanced standing (CEAS) • Experience teaching • New Jersey Certification of Criminal History (fingerprint form) • MUST have a Gmail email address or be willing to create a Gmail account; and experience with Google Suite applications: Google Docs, Sheets, and Forms. • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills and proven ability in conflict resolution skills; • Reliable transportation to and from the work site Employer Qualifications • Must adhere to local health department and school district requirements for the site at which you are working, including any mask rules that must be followed if applicable. • Undergo a background check for I-9 employment authorization to work in the United States. • Some knowledge of the implementation of the Danielson Framework Application • Please submit your resume via the online platform you are using to apply. • Before being hired, you will be asked to email your teaching certification, one professional letter of reference, and your New Jersey Criminal Background Fingerprint Certificate to HR@njtutoringcorps.org. • If you do not have a certificate, use this link to apply for one: • Applications will be considered until all positions are filled. • The final offer of employment is contingent upon the successful uploading of required documents and completion of background and reference checks.
