Teachers - GSRP Associate Teacher - Part Time. Position hired through EduStaff Job Description: GSRP Associate Teacher Reports to: Early Childhood Supervisor Compensation: Wage commensurate with qualifications and experience. Start Date: ASAP Deadline: Open until filled Qualifications: Must minimally have of one of the following: As associate degree (AA) in early childhood education or child development or the equivalent; or A valid center-based preschool CDA Credential; or An existing 120 hour approval letter Knowledge of licensing rules and regulations, PQA-R, CPR & First Aid Certification preferred. Central Registry Clearance and background checks are required for school employment and LARA background check. Consideration given to applicants currently enrolled in an Early Child Associates Program or accredited CDA program with preschool teaching experience. Essential Job Duties Include: • Provide large, small and individual developmentally appropriate lessons using the Creative Curriculum model. • Assess students through ongoing observation, anecdotal records and portfolios using the Teaching Strategies Gold Assessment model. • Conduct individual screening using the Ages & Stages Preschool Screen. • Collaborate with the GSRP teacher and other GSRP staff in planning lessons, parent meetings, assessments and other programming needs. • Participate in professional development necessary for GSRP and licensing training hours. • Meet with the ISD's Early Childhood Specialist regularly to ensure classroom and program improvements. Establish goals using assessments and PQA-R observation. • Maintain classroom environment to ensure organization, program compliance, safety and sanitary areas of play and work. • Complete, submit and maintain GSRP, licensing and NHCS paperwork. • Develop and maintain an appropriate relationship with parents and guardians to promote participation and communication regarding their child's development. • Assist with home visits • Assist with school conferences • Parent Advisory Committee Meetings • Input with the weekly newsletters • Other duties may be required.
