Full Description

The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for leading complex technology initiatives and projects, managing all phases of the project lifecycle from initiation and planning through closure to ensure successful delivery on time, within budget and aligned to project goals and strategic goals of the organization. This role is responsible for project planning, resource allocation, risk and issue management, and serving as the primary interface between IT teams and business stakeholders. WHAT YOU'LL DO: • Direct and manage IT projects from beginning to end. Projects can be large, complex and/or involve multiple teams to deliver. • Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, schedules and deliverables; complete Project Charter. • Proactively identify, monitor and mitigate risks and issues, implementing creative and timely solutions to keep projects on track. • Maintain clear and consistent communication with project stakeholders and sponsors, managing expectations and providing regular progress reports; chair project steering team meetings. • Manage project budgets and optimize resource allocations, including internal resources and external partners. Where required, negotiate with department managers for use of project resources from other departments. • Lead, motivate and mentor project team members throughout the entire project lifecycle. • Partner with organizational change management resources to prepare and equip end users to adapt to change. • Ensure compliance with PMO governance, software development lifecycle controls, and quality standards. • Embrace continuous improvement for delivering IT projects; identify opportunities for improved efficiency and/or quality, better end user experience, and automation. • Train and coach users of project management tools and processes to ensure consistency and efficiency across all projects. • Strive to understand the Network business model and the different department activities that support it. WHO YOU ARE: • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills • Highly proficient using project management tools • Strong ability to organize and prioritize • Strong communication and presentation skills, able to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization including executives • Can adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities • Ability to ensure project resources are prepared and trained in new solutions, processes, and tools • Ability to read communication styles of team members and consultants who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines • Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating to all project resources • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, other departments and consultants • Ability to bring projects to successful completion through political sensitivity and deadlines • Strong data analysis skills • SAP, Salesforce and/or Monday.com experience a plus • Advanced Level of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint) WHAT YOU'LL HAVE: • Bachelor’s degree in IT, business or related field, plus 8+ years of IT project management experience in software development • Proven experience managing project teams, including business analysts, developers, subject matter experts, and end-users in an agile delivery method • Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, with the ability to prioritize and make resource and project decisions with overall business goals in mind • Distribution industry experience a strong plus • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification • Strong knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle process • Knowledge of project methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall WHAT WE OFFER: • Competitive compensation • Medical, dental, & vision coverage • Generous PTO policy • Summer/Flex Hours all year round • Learning & Development Opportunities • Progressive Wellness Program • 401k matching program • Generous Profit Sharing contribution • FUN work environment with many company sponsored events OUR CULTURE & WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT • Our Values are the strategic principles that guide the company and our associates. The actual starting salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills and abilities. In addition, to base salary, Network associates are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, which includes health insurance, retirement contributions, opportunities for career growth and professional development.
