Cloud Workspace Support Engineer Job Summary: Seeking a Cloud Workspace Engineer to lead migration from legacy RDP environments to Amazon AppStream 2.0 / WorkSpaces within a healthcare setting. This role will design secure, scalable virtual desktop architecture supporting clinical exam room workflows, device strategy, and hardware-based MFA, ensuring HIPAA-aligned security and high availability. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: • Perform migration from traditional RDP/RDS to Amazon AppStream / WorkSpaces • Design and manage image build, publishing, and lifecycle strategy • Implement role-based access control (RBAC) aligned to clinical roles (providers, nurses, staff) • Support integration with Active Directory / Azure AD • Oversee endpoint/device strategy (thin clients, laptops, shared exam room devices) • Provide governance, documentation, and operational standards for production environments ________________________________________ Required Skills & Experience: • Deep experience with Amazon AppStream 2.0 and/or WorkSpaces • Healthcare IT experience (clinical environments, exam room workflows) • Strong cloud architecture background (AWS networking, security, IAM) • Expertise in RDP modernization and virtual desktop strategy • Experience implementing hardware MFA (YubiKey preferred) • Identity and access management (AD, Azure AD, SSO, conditional access) • Understanding of HIPAA, PHI protection, and healthcare compliance • Experience designing high-availability, secure cloud environments Job Type: Full-time Pay: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour Work Location: Remote
