Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, Epic HB/PB certifications, minimum 5 years of revenue cycle technology experience, healthcare provider industry experience, and familiarity with diagramming tools.

Creates and modifies procedures to solve complex business problems considering system limitations and capacity. Responsibilities: Design architecture including software, hardware, and communications to support total requirements and future cross-functional needs. Ensure systems are compatible and compliant with agency IT standards and integration profiles. Provide detailed specifications to developers. Evaluate new software/system modifications with technical expertise. Ensure compliance with the common operating environment. Analyze and resolve workflow, organizational, and planning issues. Provide daily supervision and direction to staff. • Solution Design – Define the overall architecture for Epic RevCycle (scheduling, registration, billing, claims, payments) and how modules fit together. • Integration & Interoperability – Ensure smooth data flow between clinical Epic modules (e.g., inpatient/ambulatory) and RevCycle modules (HB/PB, Tapestry, etc.), plus external systems (clearinghouses, ERP, payers). • Revenue Cycle Optimization – Design workflows to reduce denials, improve charge capture, accelerate billing, and strengthen collections. • Configuration Oversight – Guide analysts on build/configuration of Epic modules to match organizational policies, payer contracts, and compliance needs. • Governance & Standards – Establish best practices, ensure adherence to Epic guidelines, regulatory standards (HIPAA, CMS, payer rules), and enterprise IT frameworks. • Stakeholder Alignment – Partner with clinical, finance, and IT leaders to align revenue cycle technology with business strategy. • Mentorship – Act as a subject-matter expert (SME) guiding analysts, builders, and sometimes vendor/consultant teams.
