Electrical Test Engineer Location: Onsite. New York, NY Responsibilities • Develop and execute comprehensive manufacturing test plans for wrist wearable EMG hardware platforms • Design, implement, and maintain automated test fixtures and equipment for manufacturing line operations • Assemble, solder, and integrate complex hardware components and subassemblies for manufacturing test stations and prototypes. • Build and maintain test harnesses, prototypes, and manufacturing test equipment using industry-standard soldering practices • Perform rework and repair operations on test hardware and EMG device components • Implement Python-based test automation frameworks for manufacturing environments with emphasis on real-time control systems • Perform statistical analysis of manufacturing test data using Python libraries (SciPy, NumPy, Pandas) for yield improvement and quality control • Develop automated scripts for test execution, data collection, and statistical process validation • Execute IPC J-STD-001H certified soldering and assembly procedures for wrist wearable hardware components and test fixtures • Create data visualization and reporting tools for manufacturing performance metrics • Build interactive data collection applications using JavaScript frameworks for EMG device characterization • Develop custom user interface components and prompting systems for gesture evaluation and signal quality assessment • Implement testing methodologies specific to EMG wearable devices including signal quality assessment and contact integrity validation • Collaborate with science teams on study framework execution and EMG device performance evaluation Qualifications • Bachelor's or Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing test engineering with focus on hardware testing and assembly • Advanced Python programming skills with proven experience in statistical analysis libraries (SciPy, NumPy, Pandas) • JavaScript/Web development experience for interactive study protocol development and web application frameworks • Experience with automated test equipment including data acquisition systems, instrumentation, and measurement devices • Manufacturing test fixture design and implementation experience including hardware/software integration • Hands-on soldering and hardware assembly experience for multi-component systems and test equipment. • Preferred IPC J-STD-001H certification or equivalent demonstrated soldering expertise • Statistical analysis capabilities for manufacturing data, process control, and yield analysis • Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and integration with continuous integration frameworks • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and commitment to quality excellence
