Job Overview We are seeking a skilled SMT Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining surface mount technology (SMT) equipment used in the assembly of printed circuit boards (PCBs). This role requires a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, as well as proficiency with schematics and hand tools. The SMT Machine Operator will play a critical part in ensuring high-quality production standards and efficient manufacturing processes. Duties • Set up and calibrate SMT machines, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for optimal performance • Load, unload, and monitor PCB assemblies during the surface mount process • Inspect PCBs for quality compliance according to IPC 610 standards • Perform soldering tasks and ensure proper placement of components using hand tools and power tools • Read and interpret schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings to troubleshoot issues • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations to meet safety and quality standards • Conduct routine maintenance on SMT equipment and perform troubleshooting as needed • Assist in the assembly process by using calipers, ohmmeters, and other precision measurement tools • Follow safety protocols related to electrical wiring, machining, and soldering operations Experience • Prior experience working with PCB assembly or surface mount technology is required • Knowledge of IPC 610 standards for electronic assemblies • Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical wiring • Familiarity with schematics, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, calipers, ohmmeters, and machining equipment • Previous experience in electronics manufacturing or related fields involving soldering, assembly, or electrical wiring Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour Benefits: • Paid time off Work Location: In person
