Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista Cashier to join our vibrant café team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service, prepare high-quality coffee and food items, and manage cashiering duties with accuracy. This role offers an engaging environment for those passionate about the food and beverage industry, with opportunities to develop skills in food handling, sales, and customer engagement. Prior experience in coffee service is preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn with exceptional hospitality skills and vibrant personality. We are seeking a truly exceptional individual ~ outstanding interpersonal skills and ready to smile and laugh. We will train the coffee side for the right personality! Responsibilities • Greet customers warmly and take their orders using TOAST POS or Micros POS systems. • Operate cash register accurately, handle cash transactions, and process credit/debit payments efficiently. Explain and encourage guests to log in for our loyalty points at checkout. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas. • Ensure food safety and proper food handling procedures are followed at all times. • Manage customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure outstanding experience. • Restock pastries as needed during slow moments and assist in inventory management at the end of shift. • Uphold health and safety standards in accordance with food safety regulations. Experience • Previous barista experience or background in coffee service highly preferred. • Experience with POS systems such as TOAST POS or similar is advantageous. • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers, think quickly, and be engaging. • Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and sales transactions. • Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures. • Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently and self motivate. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
