Visit nchjobs.org to learn more. JOB SUMMARY The Quality Performance Analyst provides continuous improvement support by functioning as an analyst, facilitator and / or data support as required. This individual will work throughout the system with a broad range of groups to leverage data to improve and promote patient and quality care. Position will identify opportunities for improvement and work closely with the EHR team to incorporate improvements into the current systems. The Quality Performance Analyst will work collaboratively with the IT team, Data Governance team clinical team, and Operational leadership to assure data entry is accurate and complete. This position requires a broad knowledge of Hospital Quality Reporting requirements including HVBP, IQR, eCQMs, HRRP, HAC, and other CMS and regulatory requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned. • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation within areas as assigned. • Utilize the EHR and various analytics to track performance of clinical outcomes and quality metrics. • Distinguishes between voluntary and mandatory quality data reporting. • Analyzes internal early leading indicators to predict lagging indicators and publicly reported data. • Utilizes predictive analysis tools to project voluntary and involuntary scores and ratings. • Work closely with I.T. to design, build, and maintain databases, dashboards / reports / models. • Interpret, create final recommendations, and present the results to key stakeholders. • Streamline data collection and analysis procedures to ensure fast access to metrics, create and update documentation. • Partner with EHR vendor regulatory team to continually test reporting tools to ensure data integrity. • Educate providers, new and existing staff, and community partners on workflows, and documentations efforts that impact quality performance metrics. • Assist teams to upload quality data reports as assigned. • Maintains knowledge of Health Care Quality Information Systems (HCQIS) and Hospital Access Roles and Profile (HARP) and demonstrates ability to input data and produce variety of reports. • Assist with development and management of quality metric program. • Assists with l maintenance of NCH quality performance scorecard. • Review data for inconsistencies or anomalies that could skew analytical results Identify, pursue, and manage all incoming data files. • Perform in-depth analyses of current trends to enable the organization to diagnose and respond to the changing competitive landscape. • Create and maintain databases and conduct routine maintenance as needed to ensure data integrity. • Develop analytical tracking tools to ensure improvement and success with program criteria. • Maintains positive relationship with the various data venders who assist with abstracting and reporting NCH data. • Works with Quality and Safety Coordinators to rectify ‘fall-outs’ from data abstraction before submissions. • Assists executive team to present data trends to the governing body. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s Degree in business, public health, health administration, finance or related field required. • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in quality metrics and or data systems as it relates to quality reporting and health data analytics. • Experience with quality reporting in a healthcare setting preferred. • Experience with database and multifaceted projects. • Experience with CMS and other nationally driven quality programs including risk-based documentation. • Intermediate computer knowledge : Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
