Role Overview This role is responsible for driving new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and expanding accounts specifically within the IT staffing & recruitment industry. The person serves as the bridge between staffing delivery teams (recruiters) and clients (hiring managers, procurement, vendor managers). Key Responsibilities • Business Development • Identify and pursue new client accounts (direct clients, MSPs, VMS platforms). • Build and nurture relationships with decision-makers (HR, Talent Acquisition, Procurement, Hiring Managers). • Pitch IT staffing services (contract, contract-to-hire, permanent). • Generate leads through networking, cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, and attending industry events. • Sales Management • Understand client IT staffing needs and align with delivery capabilities. • Negotiate contracts, rate cards, and terms. • Drive revenue growth by placing consultants in client projects. • Track sales pipeline, forecast, and close deals. • Account Management • Maintain and grow existing client relationships. • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction. • Act as the escalation point between recruiters and clients. • Upsell/cross-sell additional staffing services. • Collaboration • Work closely with recruitment/delivery team to ensure quick turnaround of resumes. • Share market insights and feedback from clients. • Develop joint strategies for niche skill hiring. Skills & Qualifications • Strong experience in IT staffing sales / business development in US • Proven track record of generating new business and meeting revenue targets. • Knowledge of VMS/MSP environments and direct client engagement. • Understanding of IT skills (Cloud, DevOps, AI/ML, Cybersecurity, ERP, etc.). • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills. KPIs / Success Metrics • Number of new client acquisitions. • Gross margin / revenue generated. • Fill ratio & speed of delivery. Client satisfaction & retention
