Emergency Communications Shift Supervisor Location: Washington, DC Employment Type: Contract Role Summary An emergency communications organization in Washington, DC is seeking a Shift Supervisor to oversee daily operations within a PSAP/ECC environment. This role provides operational leadership, ensures compliance with public safety standards, and supports staff performance during assigned shifts. Key Duties • Supervise PSAP/ECC staff during assigned shifts • Review operational reports and assess workload distribution • Assign personnel and ensure adequate staffing coverage • Monitor compliance with public safety communications policies and procedures • Support quality assurance initiatives and operational audits • Operate and support emergency communications systems when required • Provide guidance and direction during high-volume or critical incidents • Assist with resolving operational issues and equipment malfunctions Minimum Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent • At least 2 years of experience in public safety communications, including supervisory experience • Training and certification in 911 call taking and dispatch disciplines • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered Required Skills • In-depth knowledge of E-911 systems and PSAP operations • Strong working knowledge of CAD systems and radio/telephone communications • Ability to lead staff and evaluate performance • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications • Strong decision-making skills under pressure • Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing About the Company: NavitasPartners
