Summary You will serve as an Administrative/Technical Specialist in the Financial Management Branch, Business Operations Division of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption. Duties Help • You will serve in the Financial Management Branch as a Financial Team Lead. • You will provide financial reporting and the translation of actions, both past and proposed, into meaningful and relevant information for use in the management process and the financial execution of various areas. • You will organize, plan, schedule and prioritize the team members' workloads and maintains oversight of work accomplishments. • You will resolve complaints and team conflicts, train and assist personnel, and provide knowledge and functional guidance relative to Funds Administration. • You will develop required internal and external reports, Managerial/Financial reporting, and performs monthly analysis of financial operations and provides briefings to Department managers. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: identifying and analyzing financial information and related problems to make timely and effective recommendations, based on potential implications of findings or conclusions. Managing programs and fostering an environment that administers all resources in a manner that instills public trust while accomplishing the mission. Monitoring progress and evaluating outcomes to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness. Developing the competencies of others to perform and contribute to the organization by inspiring and providing a learning environment of ongoing feedback and opportunities to learn through formal and informal methods. Developing and presenting findings, reports or recommendations to analysts, employees, managers inside or outside of the organization, agency heads or other high-ranking officials. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14.
