People Ops Generalist Why This Role Matters We’re looking for a People Ops Generalist to be the backbone of our employee experience—keeping the day-to-day people operations running smoothly while helping us build thoughtful, scalable programs as we grow. This role sits at the intersection of operations, compliance, and culture, and is ideal for someone who loves details and cares deeply about creating a great employee experience. You’ll partner closely with People Ops leadership, Finance, and external vendors to ensure our systems, processes, and programs are compliant, efficient, and people-first. This is a remote role (must be U.S. based), that will report to the Sr. Director of People Operations. Key Responsibilities: Onboarding & Offboarding Own end-to-end new hire onboarding and orientation Coordinate technology and system setup for new hires Conduct 30/60/90-day new hire check-ins Coordinate offboarding and exit logistics (equipment return, systems access, final pay) Conduct exit interviews and report on trends and feedback Performance, Development & Growth Support learning and development programs Assist with performance review cycles and ongoing feedback processes Employee Engagement & Culture Administer employee engagement surveys and analyze results Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, including surveys and goal tracking Coordinate monthly team events and programs (e.g., Spacewalks) Support planning and execution of company-wide events Compensation & Total Rewards Administer and track STD, FMLA, and related leave invoices Support 401(k) management and payroll administration Manage workers’ compensation administration Coordinate annual and ongoing benefits enrollment Maintain PTO policy administration and support annual calendar planning Leverage AI tools to streamline administrative work, documentation, reporting, and employee communications Preferred Experience: 1–4 years of experience in People Operations Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information Clear, empathetic communicator with a people-first mindset Knack for putting together efficient and effective processes Experience working with HRIS, payroll, and benefits platforms Ability to balance operational execution with a positive employee experience Experience leveraging AI tools to streamline work Nice to Have Strong working knowledge of HR compliance, benefits administration, and payroll processes Experience at a high-growth startup or small-to-mid-sized company Familiarity with employment laws across multiple states Experience with Rippling Why You’ll Love This Role Meaningful impact on the employee experience from day one Exposure to all areas of People Operations Opportunity to help build and scale people programs Collaborative, supportive team that values empathy and execution Compensation Within the range posted, actual compensation will be determined depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge & skills, experience, business needs, market compensation data, and internal equity.
