We are seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to play a critical leadership role in our Finance organization, ensuring strong financial management, operational excellence, and enterprise-wide accountability. POSITION SUMMARY The Corporate Controller is a key member of the Nations Roof Finance team and holds primary responsibility for the organization’s overall accounting operations, including general ledger management, job WIP and percentage-of-completion accounting, treasury and cash management, credit and collections oversight, debt compliance, external reporting, and tax compliance. This role oversees a team of 5–10 accounting and finance professionals and ensures strong internal controls, accurate reporting, and adherence to U.S. GAAP across the enterprise. The Corporate Controller partners closely with the CFO, divisional leadership, and operations teams to support strategic decision-making and enhance financial performance. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES FINANCIAL CLOSE, REPORTING & ACCOUNTING LEADERSHIP * Direct and oversee all aspects of the monthly and quarterly financial close and consolidation process. * Ensure accurate application of percentage-of-completion accounting for job WIPs and timely preparation of account reconciliations and balance sheet analyses. * Maintain accounting records in accordance with U.S. GAAP; identify, interpret, and implement new accounting standards. * Develop and enforce accounting policies and procedures to drive consistency across all business units. CASH MANAGEMENT, FORECASTING & TREASURY * Oversee daily cash management and provide key input into short- and long-term cash forecasting. * Ensure proper controls over cash transactions and support ongoing treasury functions. REPORTING, COMPLIANCE & AUDIT * Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for executive management, shareholders, PE sponsor, and Board of Directors. * Manage all external audit activities and support subsidiary reviews required for state licensing. * Ensure timely and accurate debt covenant and compliance reporting. * Drive the implementation of financial reporting tools that improve visibility and accelerate financial communication. TAX COMPLIANCE & CREDIT/COLLECTIONS * Oversee all tax compliance including income, franchise, sales/use, and property taxes. * Direct credit and collections activities, ensuring timely billing in accordance with contract requirements and maintaining targeted DSO performance. BUSINESS SUPPORT & OPERATIONAL PARTNERSHIP * Develop ad-hoc financial analyses and reporting to support decision-making across the organization. * Create and implement methodologies to allocate costs to business units. * Identify and implement reporting and process improvements that enhance efficiency and business insight. LEADERSHIP & STAFF DEVELOPMENT * Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accounting and finance professionals. * Provide training, coaching, and technical guidance as needed. * Perform additional duties as assigned by the CFO. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. * Active CPA required. * Minimum 8 years of progressive financial management experience. * Prior experience leading and developing accounting or finance teams. * Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and the ability to apply complex accounting principles. * Construction accounting experience, including percentage-of-completion, strongly preferred. * High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). * Experience with ERP systems, data cubes, extraction tools, and advanced financial reporting platforms. * Knowledge of Viewpoint Vista or similar construction-based systems preferred. * Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization. * Ability and willingness to travel regularly to Atlanta, GA and Mobile, AL.
