Job Title: Campus Event Manager Company Overview: The National Western Center (NWC) is a dynamic 250-acre campus located in Denver, Colorado, dedicated to food and agricultural discovery. As the new home of the National Western Stock Show and Colorado State University’s Spur campus, NWC is a vibrant hub for innovation, education, and community engagement. Role Overview: As the Campus Event Manager, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating and managing a diverse range of events across the campus. Your efforts will ensure seamless event execution that aligns with NWC’s mission to foster discovery and community connection. What You'll Do: - You will plan, coordinate, and execute campus events from conception through completion. - You will collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and vendors to ensure event success. - You will manage event budgets, timelines, and logistics to meet organizational goals. - You will oversee on-site event operations, ensuring a high-quality experience for attendees. - You will develop and maintain relationships with community stakeholders and sponsors. - You will implement marketing and promotional strategies to maximize event attendance. - You will evaluate event outcomes and provide detailed reports to leadership. - You will ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements during events. What You Bring: - You bring at least 3 years of experience in event management, preferably in a large-scale or campus environment. - You have strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple events simultaneously. - You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse audiences. - You are proficient in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite. - You have a keen eye for detail and problem-solving abilities. - You hold a bachelor’s degree in event management, hospitality, communications, or a related field. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in the food and agriculture sector or with educational institutions. - Knowledge of Denver’s local community and vendor networks. - Certification in event planning or project management (e.g., CMP, PMP). - Experience with digital marketing and social media promotion.
