Job Title: Campus Event Manager Company Overview: The National Western Center (NWC) is a dynamic 250-acre campus located in Denver, Colorado, dedicated to food and agricultural discovery. As the new home of the National Western Stock Show and Colorado State University’s Spur campus, NWC is a vibrant hub for innovation, education, and community engagement. Role Overview: As the Campus Event Manager, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating and managing a diverse range of events across the NWC campus. Your efforts will ensure seamless event execution that aligns with the center’s mission to inspire and educate visitors about food and agriculture. What You'll Do: - You will plan, coordinate, and execute campus-wide events, ensuring all logistics are managed efficiently. - You will collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and community partners to deliver exceptional event experiences. - You will manage event budgets, timelines, and resources to meet organizational goals. - You will oversee event marketing and promotion strategies to maximize attendance and engagement. - You will ensure compliance with safety regulations and campus policies during all events. - You will analyze event outcomes and provide reports to stakeholders for continuous improvement. - You will lead and mentor event staff and volunteers to foster a collaborative team environment. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in event management, preferably in a large campus or public venue setting. - Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple events simultaneously. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. - Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite. - Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in the food and agriculture sector or related industries. - Knowledge of Denver’s local community and event landscape. - Certification in event planning or project management (e.g., CMP, PMP). - Experience managing large-scale public events or festivals.
