Inventory Operations Analyst Location: Chicago, IL (Chicagoland Area) Must be on-site daily. Department: Inventory Management Reports To: Director of Inventory Management FLSA Status: Exempt Employment Type: Full-Time Pay Range: $60,000 – $70,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Position Overview The Inventory Operations Analyst plays a key role in ensuring accurate, efficient, and strategically aligned inventory operations across all National Safety Apparel (NSA) locations. This role focuses on maintaining healthy inventory levels, maximizing material availability, and supporting production needs through proactive planning, inter-site coordination, and rigorous data integrity management. The Analyst partners cross-functionally with Inventory Management, Supplier Management, Supply Chain Planning, IT, Finance, Manufacturing, and Quality to ensure seamless movement and tracking of materials—ultimately supporting NSA’s commitment to product quality, operational excellence, and on-time delivery. Key Responsibilities Inventory Analysis & Optimization • Monitor inventory levels for all raw materials, including fabrics and components, across multiple NSA sites. • Assess monthly usage trends and site needs to balance stock effectively and prevent shortages. • Issue inter-company transfer orders to reposition material between facilities when required. Inventory Movement & Accuracy • Manage all in-transit inventory and ensure TCM reflects accurate movement status at all times. • Oversee outside fabric processing and maintain real-time visibility of material status in TCM. • Maintain accurate records for offsite (9000-series) inventory locations. • Lead month-end reconciliation of outside processing and offsite inventory with Finance. Quality, Compliance & Supplier Collaboration • Manage quarantine inventory across all sites. • Collaborate with Supplier Management for timely credits or return-to-vendor (RTV) actions for defective materials. • Support Miami-based inbound receiving into KGL for materials destined for NSA Dominicana. System Integrity & Operational Execution • Assist with material master and supplier master data cleanup and integrity improvements within TCM ERP. • Actively participate in the setup and weekly execution of MRP across NSA sites. • Administer supply chain–related projects using project management tools. Administrative & Cross-Functional Support • Provide additional operational support to the Director of Inventory Management and the EVP of Operations as needed. Qualifications Education • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field—or equivalent experience. Experience • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in inventory management or supplier operations. • Experience in apparel manufacturing or textiles is a strong plus. • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (experience with TCM preferred). Physical Requirements • Frequent use of computer and phone. • Routine walking within the production floor and warehouse • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. • Minimal travel (0–5%). Working Conditions • Primarily office-based with occasional work in production, warehouse, & remote availability.
