Manage delinquent accounts, coordinate repossessions, and provide administrative support for legal matters related to asset recovery.
At least one year of call center experience handling challenging customer calls, strong verbal communication, and computer skills.
As an Asset Recovery Representative, you will help manage and collect delinquent accounts by reaching out to members, setting up payment arrangements, and coordinating repossessions in accordance with state laws. You will provide administrative support for bankruptcy and legal matters, prepare necessary documentation, and collaborate with attorneys, repossession agents, and other departments to ensure timely and effective resolution. Additionally, you will process recovery payments, generate reports, and assist the Asset Recovery Manager with related responsibilities. Responsibilities include: • To collect on delinquent accounts, including contacting members by any means available and devising payment plans to bring accounts current. • To provide administrative assistance on bankrupt accounts including preparing required bankruptcy documentation in accordance with collecting attorney instructions. Work with management and business partners to repossess vehicles in compliance with state law. Ensure effective follow up with attorneys and repossession agents. • To communicate and coordinate Asset Recovery matters relating to other departments and display sound management practices, quality decision-making and insight. • To participate as needed in preparing information for legal action on collection and foreclosure files. Process recovery payments received from collection attorneys, bankruptcy trustees, and other sources. Prepare check requests, reports and other tasks assigned by the Asset Recovery Manager. Qualifications: • A minimum of one year of experience in a call center handling and de-escalating challenging customer calls. • Demonstrate positive attitude with strong verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively solve problems while building and maintaining professional relationships. • Must have strong computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
