Overview National Debt Relief is seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer II to join our growing technology team. Reporting to the Manager of Systems Services, the Cloud Systems Engineer II is responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of cloud-first systems infrastructure, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, Microsoft 365 and AWS. This role supports NDR’s modernization strategy by helping transition from traditional on-premises systems to modern, cloud-native platforms. The Cloud Systems Engineer II works closely with Infrastructure, Network, Information Security, and business teams to ensure secure, scalable, and highly available systems. Responsibilities Essential Duties/Responsibilities Design, implement, and support cloud-first systems infrastructure in Azure, AWS, and Microsoft 365. Administer Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access, identity lifecycle management, and access governance in a multi-tenant environment. Support the transition from on-prem Active Directory to Entra-centric identity models. Implement and maintain Azure compute, storage, backup, and monitoring services. Contribute to Infrastructure-as-Code and automation efforts using PowerShell, ARM, Bicep, or Terraform. Partner with Network Engineering on secure hybrid connectivity and cloud networking integrations. Support M365 services including Exchange Online, Intune, and endpoint management. Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and systems remediation. Document cloud standards, architectures, and operational procedures. Mentor Systems Engineers and Administrators on cloud technologies and modern practices. Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours support as required. Qualifications Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree in IT/Engineering-related discipline or equivalent experience. 7 years of systems engineering experience with increasing cloud responsibility. Hands-on experience with Azure, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 required. Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or equivalent certification preferred. Financial services industry experience a plus. Required Skills/Abilities Strong experience with Microsoft identity platforms and cloud authentication models. Experience managing Windows Server workloads in Azure. PowerShell scripting and automation experience. Familiarity with ITIL-aligned incident and change management processes. Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset. Ability to balance operational responsibilities with project-based work. Experience supporting Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A). Take constructive feedback. Compensation Information Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for each position across the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This good faith pay range is provided in compliance with NYC law and the laws of other jurisdictions that may require a salary range in job postings. The salary for this position is $152,500 to $175,500 annually.
