Description Job Summary: The Member Success Manager is a fully remote position responsible for expanding NCTC’s field presence and strengthening relationships among NCTC, its members and suppliers. This role is focused on driving participation in NCTC programs and services, while developing new supplier and membership opportunities. As the Member Success Manager at the National Content and Technology Cooperative (NCTC), you’ll expand our field presence and strengthen relationships by connecting members, internal teams, and supplier partners. You’ll travel within the Southeast region of the United States (~75% travel) to member locations, to engage across departments, uncover strategic challenges and opportunities, and help members maximize the value of their NCTC membership. In addition, you’ll identify non-member prospects—through referrals and proactive outreach, including cold calling—and encourage them to join NCTC. This role supports engagement and growth goals through consultative guidance and industry insight. About NCTC NCTC is a not-for-profit buying cooperative supporting hundreds of entrepreneurial broadband and telecom companies nationwide. Compensation Range • This is a salaried position ranging from $75,000 to $90,000 annually. • Candidates expecting compensation at the higher end of this range should demonstrate multiple years of direct experience in telecom or broadband, demonstrable success in business development, relationship management, or other customer-facing roles. • This is a non-commissioned position Fully Remote • This position is a fully remote position for someone in Georgia, Kentucky or Tennessee. You will work from your home office and travel within your assigned region as needed to meet defined member engagement goals. • Occasional in-person meetings, events, or training sessions may be scheduled by NCTC in areas other than your assigned region, and remote employees are expected to attend as needed. Assist NCTC internal teams to identify opportunities to engage members and recruit non-member prospects. • Drive Engagement and Results: Lead presentations, proposals, and strategy sessions with existing and prospective members. Identify member needs to drive growth, create outstanding member experiences, and consistently meet or exceed organizational goals. • Make an Impact in Your Region: Travel within your assigned region (~75% travel) to understand member needs, gather insights that drive success, and expand NCTC’s reach by developing non-member prospects through referrals and proactive outreach efforts. • Champion Innovative Solutions: Introduce NCTC’s capabilities and resources, provide tailored recommendations, and track adoption metrics for recommended solutions. Develop and share best practices with members, ensuring all activities adhere to NCTC policies, requirements, and standards. • Spot Industry Opportunities: Stay ahead of trends and shifts in broadband and telecom to identify new ways NCTC and its members can grow, contributing to pipeline development and strategic initiatives. • Promote NCTC’s Value: Represent NCTC at conferences, industry events, and in all professional interactions to enhance visibility and influence. Maintain accurate records of interactions with members and suppliers in NCTC’s CRM to evaluate success and identify areas for improvement. Requirements What You'll Bring: • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent relevant experience. • 3+ years of experience in broadband, telecom, municipal broadband, electric cooperatives, cable, technology sales, business development, or related member-driven organizations. • Strong relationship-building skills with both technical and business stakeholders. • Excellent communication, listening, and presentation skills. • Ability to translate members needs into insights and action. • Understanding of broadband technologies and terminology (e.g. FTTx, DOCSIS, fixed wireless, IP systems, CPE, OSP, etc.). • Comfort with regional travel and working independently in a remote environment. • Strong organizational skills with consistent follow-through. • Highly motivated, energetic self-starter, passionate and knowledgeable about the telecommunication industry. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. SUGAR CRM experience is a plus. The Details • Travel expectations are approximately ~75% within the southeast region of the United States, including occasional weekends for conferences. • Must reside in the Southeast U.S., preferably near the Nashville, Knoxville, Louisville or Atlanta metropolitan areas. • Regular sustained concentration, extensive computer use, repetitive keyboarding, and regular phone communication will be required. Working Conditions / Physical Requirements • Regular sustained concentration. • Some physical effort, ability to lift 20 pounds and dexterity. • The position requires a high level of physical and mental energy. • Frequent travel. • Sitting for long periods of time/computer use.
