About NAMI Arizona NAMI Arizona is the state organization of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), the nation's largest grassroots mental health movement. NAMI Arizona and its 10 local affiliates deliver education, support, and advocacy to improve the quality of life for individuals and families affected by mental health conditions. Position Summary The Executive Director (ED) serves as chief executive of NAMI Arizona, responsible for advancing the organization's mission through strategic leadership, financial management, and statewide advocacy. The ED partners with the Board of Directors, guiding operations, programs, and partnerships that strengthen NAMI Arizona and its Affiliates. Key Responsibilities Lead strategic planning and statewide collaboration. Oversee operations, finances, and staff. Support and strengthen local NAMI Affiliates. Lead fundraising, donor relations, contract and grant administration. Represent NAMI Arizona as a leader in behavioral health advocacy. Qualifications Bachelor's degree; Master's preferred. 5+ years proven nonprofit or similar leadership experience. Demonstrated success in fundraising and team management. Strong knowledge of Arizona's behavioral health system. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Lived experience as individual or family member with mental health conditions. Compensation & Benefits $75,000-$85,000 DOE, health stipend, paid time off, professional development opportunities.
