The Nuclear Analyst will serve as a technical contributor at the intersection of engineering, business development, and policy; ensuring that NANO’s external-facing communications are technically accurate, credible, and aligned with regulatory and stakeholder expectations. This role is open to candidates from new graduates to early-career professionals. Level of responsibility will be calibrated based on experience, demonstrated capability, and writing proficiency. The role will work closely with senior business development and technical leadership on government-facing deliverables. Responsibilities · Draft and contribute technical sections of RFIs, RFPs, and government submissions related to nuclear power systems, reactor technologies, and nuclear fuel cycle considerations. · Translate complex nuclear engineering concepts into clear, audience-appropriate written content for technical, regulatory, and non-technical stakeholders. · Conduct research, technical analysis, and due diligence on nuclear power systems, nuclear materials, and fuel cycle topics in support of external engagements and strategic decision-making. · Synthesize inputs from engineering, business development, and policy teams into coherent, well-structured external-facing deliverables. · Track and summarize updates in federal and state nuclear policy, regulatory developments, and competitive activity across the nuclear sector; maintain an up-to-date internal knowledge portfolio. · Prepare briefings, summaries, and instructional materials related to nuclear systems and the nuclear fuel cycle. · Support interactions with U.S. government agencies and members of the national security community. · Represent the company at conferences, industry events, and technical forums as needed. · Maintain version control and quality standards for nuclear technical content used in external submissions. Required Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering or a related technical field. · Foundational knowledge of nuclear power systems and nuclear fuel cycle activities. · Understanding of practical engineering principles, including systems, techniques, procedures, and equipment applied to complex technical projects. · Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to produce clear, structured technical writing (academic, research-based, or professional). · Ability to synthesize complex technical information and tailor messaging to different audiences. · Experience working with technical teams, engineering projects, or data-driven analyses. Preferred Qualifications · 1–5 years of experience in nuclear energy, government programs, national laboratories, defense contracting, or other regulated technical industries. · MA/MS degree (engineering preferred but not required). · Familiarity with U.S. nuclear regulatory frameworks, policy processes, or government procurement. · Experience preparing technical documentation, reports, or presentations for external review. Work Location · This position is full-time and on-site in our New York office. · Remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available. Salary information · Base Salary: $90,000–$110,000 NY Only: The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, and location.
