About the Role The Director, Business Development - Commercial is a strategic driver of our market expansion and a key ambassador for the NAM brand. This role is designed for a proactive, high-caliber professional who can navigate the complexities of the legal and corporate landscape to secure high-impact revenue and long-term partnerships. This position will be at the forefront of introducing NAM’s world-class Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) solutions to new commercial audiences and customers. You will identify, sign and scale new accounts, ensuring that NAM is the first choice for corporations and law firms seeking efficient, fair, and innovative dispute resolution. Key Responsibilities • Drive new top-line revenue by identifying and capturing untapped opportunities within the commercial legal market • Build and maintain deep relationships with key stakeholders including current clients, prospective corporate general counsel and heads of litigation, and industry partners • Actively engage with clients to ensure that the organization is the preferred ADR provider within their corporate or firm-wide templates and specified clauses are converted into active case filings • Establish a dominant market presence and brand by representing the organization at industry conferences and events • Maintain accurate records in the CRM; provide updates on pipeline health, conversion rates, and territory growth • Provide market feedback, trends and insights that help the organization evaluate services, pricing models and fee structures that help shape future strategies Qualifications Required: • 15+ years’ experience selling enterprise legal services into corporate legal departments • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse stakeholder groups • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies. Preferred: • Juris Doctor (JD) or advanced degree in Law or Conflict Resolution • Experience in the ADR industry and understanding of ADR processes What We Offer Salary: $125,000 - $150,000 per year (good-faith estimate) Benefits & Other Eligible Compensation: Includes health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off, annual bonus, and other voluntary benefits.
