Title: Logistics Manager Position Type: Contract Location: Remote with Travel (25-50%) Reports to: Project Manager Job Summary: The Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the transportation and relocation of power generation equipment for NAES projects. This role oversees the complete logistics process, ensuring equipment is transported safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules, regulatory requirements, and budget expectations. The successful candidate will serve as the primary logistics interface between suppliers, freight providers, ports, customs brokers, and project personnel while providing daily reporting on shipment status, schedule, and costs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Manage all logistics activities associated with the movement of heavy industrial and power generation equipment. • Review, prepare, and maintain logistics documentation including import/export documentation, shipping documentation, lift plans, customs documentation, bills of lading, packing lists, permits, and related transportation records. • Coordinate transportation activities with ports, freight forwarders, carriers, vendors, customs brokers, and project site personnel. • Monitor shipment schedules, transportation milestones, and delivery dates to ensure project objectives are achieved. • Track logistics costs and provide routine reporting on schedule, budget, risks, and shipment status to project leadership. • Identify logistics risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize schedule delays and transportation issues. • Support site activities during equipment deliveries, major lifts, and critical transportation events as required. • Ensure logistics activities comply with applicable safety, regulatory, and international shipping requirements. Job Requirements: • Experience managing domestic and international logistics for large industrial, energy, EPC, or power generation projects. • Strong knowledge of import/export documentation, customs processes, freight forwarding, transportation planning, and heavy haul logistics. • Experience coordinating vendors, ports, carriers, customs brokers, and project site personnel to ensure on-time equipment delivery. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent shipments while tracking schedules, budgets, and project milestones. • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced project environment. • Ability to travel approximately 25–50% as project needs require. Education / Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent industry experience will be considered. • Experience supporting power generation, energy, heavy industrial, oil & gas, or similar infrastructure projects is strongly preferred. • Experience managing the relocation of large rotating equipment, turbines, generators, or other heavy industrial assets.
