The Role Nabis is seeking an experienced and driven Technical Product Manager to work with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and data analysts to build products for our sales and retailer-facing products. This role involves managing complex projects and integrating technical and management skills to deliver effective and innovative solutions for the rapidly-growing cannabis industry. This role will be instrumental in bridging the gap between our technology and business teams, ensuring the success execution and deployment of our products. The Technical Product Manager will work closely with all stakeholders, including Retail Account Management, and be responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle from conception to launch. Responsibilities Be a driver for identifying near and long-term opportunities in Nabis’ sales and retailer-facing products, supporting in the development of the team’s objectives, strategy, and roadmap in the context of broader business priorities. Align internal stakeholders and build consensus across the broader Product and business organization, providing clarity and structure to ambiguous opportunities. Act as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders. Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively. Drive decision-making through user insights, feedback, and data analysis. Conduct user interviews for qualitative insights. Leverage platform backend data as well as front-end analytics to drive decision-making and to better define success and key performance metrics for individual feature offerings. Plan and develop detailed product requirements for our web applications, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation; leveraging technical expertise and understanding of our software and system architecture; to identify streamlined solutions to complex challenges. Work closely alongside a cross-functional team of engineers, product designers, and data analysts to ensure timely releases, balancing near-term business needs with long-term strategic bets. Maximize efficiency and thrive in a constant-evolving industry landscape, handling the dynamic and iterative processes typical of early-stage startups. Leverage AI tools to synthesize data and accelerate processes. Research and adapt best practices for B2B and marketplace juggernauts like Amazon, Shopify, and others into the emerging cannabis industry, taking into account compliance and other industry-specific variables. Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging continuous learning and process improvement, through demos and knowledge transfers with other members of the team. Communicate effectively with external customers and stakeholders. Minimum qualifications Minimum of 4 years in product management, product design, or engineering experience with strong business aptitude. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and work under pressure as a self-starter with autonomy using first-principles approach to problem-solving. Proficiency with Atlassian tools, Google Workspace tools, Asana, software development languages, and frameworks. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, including experience presenting to executive audiences. Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies. Familiarity with technologies including TypeScript, and modern frameworks such as React, Node, and Next.js. View the Nabis Tech Stack. Experience with development that integrates with third-party platforms, preferably WMS or track and trace-related services, such as Metrc. Proven track record of successful project delivery in fast-paced Silicon Valley technical environments. This role may require occasional travel for on-sites or industry events. Preferred qualifications Experience with Figma. Experience building 0->1 products, e-commerce platform/ecosystem products, or distribution-centric or marketplace-related products. Experience deconstructing monolithic platforms and migrating to a more service-oriented architecture. Prior experience in the cannabis industry is a plus. Why You'll Love Working at Nabis!
