As an Associate Technical Controller, you will take ownership of complex accounting and regulatory matters, ensuring financial reporting is accurate and audit-ready. You will partner with leadership and external advisors to operationalize policies and improve processes.
Candidates should have a CPA or equivalent with 5-8 years of experience, preferably from Big 4 assurance or technical advisory. A solid foundation in U.S. GAAP and experience with complex transactions is required, with crypto exposure being a plus.

As an Associate Technical Controller you'll take ownership of our most complex accounting and regulatory matters. This is a high-impact individual contributor role for someone who loves solving challenging accounting problems, writing memos, and operationalizing policy. You’ll partner closely with leadership, policy experts, and external advisors to ensure our financial reporting is accurate, audit-ready, and defensible in a rapidly evolving industry. What You’ll Do: Research, draft, and maintain technical accounting memos on complex transactions (SAFEs, SAFTs, token conversions, carve-outs, revenue recognition) Support M&A, restructurings, and valuations (ASC 805 purchase price allocations, goodwill, deferred taxes, entity wind-downs) Assist in designing and operationalizing crypto accounting policies, including token compensation, staking, and on-chain activity Contribute to financial reporting and disclosures, including crypto holdings, fair value hierarchy, and audit support Work cross-functionally to improve processes, controls, and accounting technology to reduce reconciliation risk and scale operations What You’ll Bring: CPA (active) or equivalent, with 5–8 years of experience (Big 4 assurance or technical advisory strongly preferred) Solid foundation in U.S. GAAP (ASC), with experience drafting memos and disclosures Exposure to complex transactions (M&A, equity/debt instruments, restructurings) - crypto exposure a plus, but not required Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving policies and priorities Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and interest in accounting automation/crypto sub-ledger tools Strong communication skills - able to translate technical guidance into clear documentation for auditors and leadership Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, which may include verification of employment history, education credentials, criminal history, and other relevant information.
