Position: Direct or Tech Operations Location: Remote – United States Compensation: Salary - (Starting at $100K) We are seeking a highly experienced and collaborative Director of Tech Operations to lead our technical operations organization and partner closely with engineering, product, analytics, and business leaders to drive operational excellence across the company. This role is ideal for a strategic operator who thrives at the intersection of people, technology, and business outcomes. You will oversee multi-disciplinary technical teams, improve and scale operational processes, strengthen cross-functional alignment, and ensure our systems and workflows support reliability, growth, and long-term success. The ideal candidate is a people-first leader with deep experience in technical operations, compliance, call center environments, large-team leadership, and executive-level communication. Why Join Us • Opportunity to shape and scale a rapidly growing technical organization • High visibility role partnering directly with senior leadership • Collaborative and mission-driven culture • Ability to influence long-term strategy and operational direction • Meaningful ownership across systems, processes, and cross-functional outcomes Job Duties • Provide strategic and operational leadership across technical operations, including engineering operations, data operations, integrations, and cross-functional program execution. • Build, mentor, and develop high-performing technical teams, creating an environment that supports learning, ownership, and psychological safety. • Improve and scale operational processes, identifying opportunities for automation, workflow modernization, and system enhancements to support company growth. • Work closely with senior leadership to provide clear communication, executive-ready updates, risk assessments, and decision-making support. • Strengthen operational alignment across engineering, product, analytics, compliance, business development, finance, and legal teams. • Lead cross-functional programs and initiatives from scoping through execution, ensuring clarity, accountability, and seamless coordination across teams. • Oversee compliance operations by implementing process governance, ensuring regulatory readiness, and partnering with internal teams to maintain data and operational integrity. • Apply call center operational knowledge to optimize lead handling, QA workflows, routing processes, and cross-team operational efficiency. • Drive incident management, including root cause analysis, post-mortems, mitigation planning, and structured communication to stakeholders. • Establish and maintain operational frameworks such as sprint cadences, stand-ups, work intake processes, communication plans, and governance models. • Collaborate with leaders across the organization to ensure technical operations strategy aligns with broader business goals and long-term vision. What you’ll bring! • 10+ years of experience in technical operations, program management, or engineering operations leadership, with a track record of driving operational excellence. • Proven ability to lead large, multi-disciplinary technical teams, building strong team culture and developing high-performing individuals. • Experience in call center operations, with a deep understanding of workflow optimization, QA, lead routing, and operational performance. • Strong background in compliance operations, including program management, risk mitigation, process governance, and audit readiness. • Exceptional stakeholder management, with experience aligning diverse teams across engineering, product, analytics, business development, finance, and legal. • Highly skilled in senior leadership communication, able to synthesize complex technical information into clear, actionable insights for executives. • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional programs involving product, engineering, analytics, and business teams. • Expertise in system and process modernization, operational automation, workflow orchestration, and data-driven continuous improvement. • Experienced in incident management, including root cause identification, post-mortems, cross-team communication, and mitigation planning. • Strong capability in building operational frameworks, including ceremonies, communication structures, intake processes, and governance models. • A collaborative, people-first leadership style, known for fostering trust, clarity, communication, and team cohesion. • Ability to align technical operations with broader business context, ensuring that strategy, execution, and organizational priorities remain connected.
