Description MyLand is a soil health company. By focusing on soil health, MyLand is helping to tackle two of the world's biggest challenges: food security and climate disruption. MyLand's innovative service allows farmers to easily and rapidly implement regenerative agriculture practices and improve their soil health by harnessing the land's own natural ecosystem. MyLand partners with farmers to infuse life into their soil, helping to return farms to their most fertile state, achieving greater productivity and enhanced profitability. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Management • Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of remote and control operations personnel. • Ensure all regional sites receive consistent daily oversight and support. • Ensure daily priorities are executed and regional sites receive consistent attention. • Build accountability and ownership within the team through clear communication and consistent follow-through. Remote System Oversight • Oversee the remote operation of field-deployed systems, including algae harvesting and diagnostics, using proprietary software. • Ensure accurate and timely data reporting, incident logging, and compliance with operational procedures. • Proactively monitor KPIs and system performance to detect anomalies or potential issues. Operational Execution & Incident Response • Direct response to operational incidents or alarms with urgency and precision. • Ensures operational procedures are followed with consistency and accuracy. • Maintain composure and lead the team through emergency events with confidence. • Coordinate with field teams to resolve system issues efficiently and effectively. Process Improvement & Performance Management • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance system uptime, reduce operating costs, and streamline operations. • Anticipates challenges and proactively develops contingency plans. • Own key operational metrics, including system availability, maintenance response time, and service level performance. • Leverage data insights to drive decisions and long-term improvements. • Comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment. AI Specialist / AI Associate • Support design and application of AI tools and workflows • Prepare and analyze data for model training and evaluation • Research and apply AI methods to real-world problems • Collaborate with teams to implement AI-driven solutions • Drive insights and improve decision-making through AI Communication & Collaboration • Serve as the liaison between remote operations, field teams, engineering, and leadership. • Provide clear, concise updates on system status, incidents, and key metrics. • Fosters a transparent and collaborative team culture. Field Support & Service Coordination • Coordinate scheduled maintenance and service activities in collaboration with field operations. • Provide hands-on assistance with field visits, soil sampling, and basic equipment service when needed. • Support inventory and asset management using NetSuite and associated tools. Requirements Skills & Qualifications • At least 7 years of technical service experience or relevant work experience. • Bachelor's Degree in one of these areas: Operations Management, Agricultural Engineering, or similar field is required. • Master's degree preferred. • Relevant certification preferred: ERP Software, Lean Six Sigma, Project Management, Data Analytics • Prior Agricultural industry experience is preferred. • Prior experience with process controls is preferred. • Prior experience with AI implementation is preferred. • Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time using software to remotely control systems using a computer. • Must be able to follow, create, and improve operational procedures. • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Power Point, Outlook, and Excel). Strong Excel skills are preferred. Microsoft Teams, NetSuite and SharePoint are imperative • Experience with electronics, remote system controls, and input/output devices. • Ability to safely install, repair, service, test, and troubleshoot plumbing, mechanical, and electrical equipment. • Ability to work flexible and weekend hours. • Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills. • Working knowledge of hand and power tools and personal protective equipment. • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with limited supervision. • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Must be able to lift, carry, transport equipment, tools, and materials up to 125 lbs with assistance.
