We’re seeking a driven, hands-on Sr Manager Sales Operations to lead our clients Smyrna-based sales operations and help shape the company’s next phase of growth in the construction supply industry. This leader will develop and execute sales strategies, help mentor an inside sales and eCommerce team, and strengthen relationships with key national accounts. The ideal candidate combines commercial acumen with operational discipline and some acumen to a similar industry. This role is on-site 5 days a week onsite in the Smyrna/Mableton area. What You'll Do • Set Strategic Direction: Partner with leadership to establish sales goals, pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans aligned with company objectives. • Lead & Inspire the Sales Team: Manage daily operations for the Atlanta sales team, providing coaching, accountability, and performance development to drive results. • Drive Operational Efficiency: Oversee CRM usage, pipeline management, and forecasting to ensure consistent tracking and execution of sales activities. • Manage Key & National Accounts: Serve as the main contact for high-value customers, ensuring strong relationships, timely fulfillment, and profitable growth. • Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with the Outside Sales, Marketing and eCommerce teams to convert marketing leads into qualified opportunities and sales. • Analyze & Optimize Performance: Run regular sales reports to assess trends, margins, and territory performance—then make informed decisions to maximize results. • Pricing: Evaluate discount structures, pricing tiers, and credit terms to maintain competitiveness and profitability. • Open and set up new customer accounts, ensuring accurate onboarding and pricing setup. What We're Looking For • Experience: 5–15 years of sales management or business development experience in building materials, construction supply, or related industries. • Leadership: Proven ability to motivate teams, build relationships, and cultivate a strong sales culture. • Industry Insight: Understanding of distribution, logistics, and the contractor/distributor sales cycle. • CRM Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of CRM systems, pipeline tracking, and data-driven sales management. • Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret data, prioritize opportunities, and make timely, informed business decisions. • Highly Organized: Skilled in managing multiple priorities with attention to detail and follow-through.
