Company Description My Horry News, established in 1980 with the launch of The Horry Independent, is an award-winning local news organization. In addition to being a daily online news source, My Horry News publishes several weekly newspapers serving various communities in Horry County, South Carolina. These publications include The Horry Independent, Horry News & Shopper, Loris Scene, Carolina Forest Chronicle, Myrtle Beach Herald, Horry County Business Journal, and Visit! The Paper for Visitors, with a combined circulation exceeding 56,000. Since 2005, the newspapers have consistently received General Excellence awards from the South Carolina Press Association. Role Description This is a part-time on-site role based in Myrtle Beach, SC, for an Advertising Assistant and Leads Generator. This role will support the sales and marketing team by handling administrative tasks, maintaining client communication, assisting with advertising campaigns, and ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day activities in the advertising department. Responsibilities will include providing excellent customer service, tracking campaign performance data, and coordinating with clients to meet their advertising needs, work in CRM software and call on potential advertisers. Qualifications • Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to effectively engage with clients and team members • Sales and Marketing skills to assist in creating and managing advertising initiatives • Analytical Skills to monitor and evaluate advertising campaign performance • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills • Proficiency in basic computer applications and any relevant advertising software is a plus • Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment • Prior experience in advertising, sales, or marketing is beneficial
