Music for Pinellas Inc. (and Rock and Jock Charity) is a dynamic, new 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to uplifting local music education and youth sports programs through music festivals, benefit concerts, and sporting events (like DTP Fest and the Rock and Jock Charity Softball Game). We are seeking a passionate and driven Development and Event Coordinator to be the driving force behind our fundraising efforts and event execution in the Tampa/Pinellas area. This hands-on role is ideal for a self-starter who believes in the power of music and community to fill crucial funding gaps for youth programs. Key Responsibilities I. Fundraising and Development (Revenue Generation) • Sponsorship Acquisition: Actively solicit and secure corporate sponsorships and partnerships from local Pinellas and Tampa Bay businesses for major events (DTP Fest, tournaments). • Donor Campaigns: Manage and execute small-scale donor solicitation campaigns and individual fundraising drives (e.g., "Sponsor a Camper" initiatives). • Vendor Relations: Solicit and manage participation from local vendors and food trucks for events, negotiating agreements to maximize proceeds for charity. • Grant Support: Assist the leadership team by researching and supporting the writing of applications for local arts and community grants. II. Event Planning and Marketing • Event Logistics: Manage the logistical planning and execution of all signature events, including music festivals, benefit concerts, and sporting events (scheduling, venue coordination, permitting). • Marketing & Promotion: Develop and execute grassroots marketing strategies (both digital and community-based) to promote events, drive ticket sales, and increase brand visibility. • Community Outreach: Serve as the primary liaison with local music programs, youth centers, and sports leagues, communicating our mission and identifying funding needs. • Ticketing & Sales: Oversee online and box office ticket sales, ensuring smooth processes and maximizing revenue. Qualifications • Proven experience in fundraising, sales, marketing, or non-profit development. (Prior experience securing sponsorships is a major plus.) • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and public presentation skills. • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated experience managing event logistics, vendors, or timelines. • Self-motivated and capable of working remotely and independently, with the flexibility to attend and manage weekend/evening events. • Strong local knowledge and passion for the Tampa/Pinellas community and its music/sports scene. • Proficiency with social media marketing and basic ticketing platforms (e.g., Eventbrite). Compensation & Employment Details • Location: Tampa/Pinellas Area (Remote-Flexible with frequent local travel required).
