Family Assistant/Private Chauffeur (FT) Job #: J2029 Location: NEW YORK, NY Days: Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays Hours: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM Compensation: $35 to $45 per Hour Additional Benefits: TBD Start Date: 12/21/2025 A family in New York, NY is looking for a Family Assistant/Chauffeur who is reliable, professional, and highly organized.The ideal candidate will provide both household assistance and safe, efficient transportation for family members as needed. There are two dogs in the home. MUST be able to travel with the family (domestic/international). Main Work Duties: • Drive the principals safely to appointments, meetings, school, events, and errands. • Manage daily schedules; book appointments, reservations, and service calls. • Make phone calls on behalf of the principals and handle basic correspondence. • Run errands including groceries, pharmacy pickups, returns, and household supply shopping. • Perform light housekeeping: tidying common areas, wiping surfaces, managing dishes, organizing spaces. • Assist with wardrobe maintenance: steaming, light ironing, closet organization, seasonal clothing rotation. • Manage laundry as needed, including basic care of delicate items. • Oversee vehicle care: fueling, cleaning, regular maintenance, repair appointments. • Coordinate vendor visits and home service providers. • Assist with packing and unpacking for travel. • Maintain household inventories and restock essential items. • Support family routines and help ensure smooth daily operations. • Handle last-minute requests with flexibility and a calm, professional demeanor. • Travel with the principal when needed. Required Qualities: • Reliable and consistently punctual. • Professional driving skills with a clean record. • Calm and patient in traffic and under pressure. • Highly organized and detail-oriented. • Discreet, trustworthy, and respectful of privacy. • Strong communication skills. • Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules. • Safety-focused, especially when transporting children. • Proactive and able to anticipate family needs. • Friendly, service-oriented demeanor. • Tech-savvy with navigation and scheduling apps. • Able to manage household errands and tasks efficiently. • Physically capable of lifting luggage and packages. • Maintains vehicles in clean, safe, and ready condition. Requirements: • Minimum 3+ solid years experience has a family assistant/chauffeur. • Excellent references from both current and previous employers. • Ability to work independently. • Strong communication skills and the ability to follow directions precisely. • Must speak and be able to communicate well in English. • Authorized to work in the United States for any employer. • A valid US passport.
