Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial card clients focusing on retention, revenue expansion, cross-selling, and compliance while collaborating with sales teams and promoting technology enhancements.
Bachelor's degree plus 5 years commercial card or related sales experience (or 9 years combined education/experience), account management experience preferred, and knowledge of compliance and risk controls.
Overview: Responsible for the on-going management of merchant or card relationships across the footprint with a primary focus on strategic partnering to retain, grow and cross sell. Primary Responsibilities: Primary point of contact for existing clients utilizing commercial card or merchant services Manage and grow assigned portfolio of existing clients with strong emphasis on retention and client satisfaction. Mine a list of clients who have incremental spend opportunity Monitor spend for managed portfolio clients. Leverage industry benchmarking tools from VISA and other internal data analytics to assist clients with growth opportunities. Transition clients to be self-sufficient with respect to Supplier Enablement, standardized payment terms and epayables boarding process. Maintain strong communication with Treasury Management Consultants and Commercial Card Consultants to keep them abreast of sales activities and refer business opportunities. Utilizing industry and client experience, participate in the pricing of products and services when appropriate. Directly responsible for expanding the revenue stream from existing customer relationships, meeting assisting CCCs with their individual sales goals, and assisting Regional Sales Manager in executing sales strategies and in meeting department goals. Promote technology enhancements to ensure that clients are benefiting from most current platforms and available functionality Promote cross sell services to create stickiness with clients Establish routine cadence with an assigned client base to insure continued growth. Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies. Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand. Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable. Complete other related duties as assigned. Managerial/Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A Education and Experience Required: Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years Commercial Card/ Merchant (or related relevant product) sales experience, or in lieu of degree, a combined minimum of 9 years education and/or Commercial Card/Merchant (or related relevant product) sales experience.
