The Program Director, Operation Strategy & Transformation will lead a portfolio of strategic programs within Operations, accountable for translating strategy into execution, measurable value, and consistent governance. This role drives disciplined delivery across scope, timeline, and budget, with clear linkage to business outcomes. The Director partners with executive sponsors to set direction, prioritize investments, and improve operating models across warehouse logistics, vendor ecosystems, safety, and facility utilization. The role blends structured, data-driven problem solving with hands-on delivery, including facilitating decision-focused working sessions to drive alignment, resolve tradeoffs, and accelerate execution. In collaboration with other PMO leaders, this role helps scale consistent PMO principles, structures, and operating cadence across mSupply. Duties & Responsibilities Strategic Program Leadership & Portfolio Management • Owns a portfolio of high-impact operational programs and translates strategy into roadmaps that define scope, sequencing, dependencies, and expected value. • Sets governance, success metrics, and decision forums to enable prioritization and tradeoffs. • Partners with executive sponsors to assess ROI, capacity constraints, and risk exposure, guiding investment and resourcing decisions. • Continuously evaluates program relevance as business conditions evolve, recommending course corrections or reprioritization as needed. Program Execution, Integration & Value Realization • Oversees execution across interconnected initiatives, ensuring delivery against defined outcomes, timelines, and budgets. • Designs and manages integrated workstreams across Operations, IT, Procurement, Facilities, Finance, HR, Supply Chain, and Customer Service. • Anticipates cross-program risks and dependencies, proactively mitigating impacts to operations and service levels. • Delivers clear executive reporting and dashboards on progress, risks, decisions needed, and value realization. • Ensures smooth transition to steady-state ownership with defined accountability and sustainability plans. Change Leadership & Executive Influence • Leads structured change management efforts, ensuring adoption of new processes, technologies, and operating models. • Acts as a change catalyst, aligning leaders and teams around a shared vision and measurable outcomes. • Serves as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, providing insights on operational readiness, adoption risks, and organizational impact. • Influences across functions and levels without direct authority, navigating competing priorities to drive enterprise outcomes. • Builds alignment between strategic intent and frontline execution through clear communication and stakeholder engagement. Operational Strategy, Continuous Improvement & Best Practices • Identifies and quantifies opportunities through process redesign, standardization, automation, and vendor optimization. • Applies continuous improvement practices to deliver sustainable gains in safety, service, productivity, and cost. • Benchmarks performance and brings best practices into scalable operating models. Tools, Systems & Organizational Enablement • Uses data and program management tools to support decision-making and maintain portfolio visibility. • Builds repeatable PMO frameworks and standards to improve program delivery maturity across mSupply. Other Responsibilities • Supports the company’s broader transformation initiatives and strategic priorities. • Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field required. • 8+ years of experience leading complex programs or portfolios in operations, logistics, supply chain, or a related environment. • Proven ability to manage multiple cross-functional workstreams with shared dependencies, balancing operational continuity with change delivery. • Strong structured problem-solving and analytical skills, including building a fact base, developing options with clear tradeoffs, and making practical recommendations. • Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills, including running working sessions that drive decisions, accountability, and next steps. • Preferred: demonstrated curiosity about AI and automation, with interest in exploring practical applications with the team. • Experience collaborating with PMO leaders to scale common governance, standards, and ways of working across the enterprise (mSupply). • Strong background in program management methodologies (PMP, Agile, Lean, Six Sigma); certification preferred (PMP, PgMP, or equivalent). • Proficiency with enterprise program management tools; experience with Wrike is preferred, but strong capability in comparable tools (Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, Asana) is acceptable. • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). • Strongly preferred: experience that combines management consulting and an in-house operator role (internal transformation, ops excellence, or program leadership).
