Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, 3+ years plastics processing experience focusing on injection molding, strong polymer and mold knowledge, hands-on scientific molding experience preferred, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

We are seeking a skilled and driven Plastics Process Engineer to join our team and support continuous improvement, new product development, and optimized manufacturing processes. Position Overview: The Plastics Process Engineer will be responsible for developing, sampling, improving, and troubleshooting injection molding and other plastic manufacturing processes. This role works closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure efficient operations, superior product quality, and cost-effective manufacturing. Key Responsibilities: Develop, optimize, and document molding processes for new and existing products. Troubleshoot production issues to improve efficiency, quality, and cycle times. Lead process validations and capability studies to ensure compliance with standards. Collaborate with tooling, maintenance, and design teams on mold design and improvements. Support new product launches by establishing robust molding processes. Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement initiatives. Train operators and technicians on proper process and quality procedures. Qualifications: Associates degree or a Bachelor’s degree in Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of experience in plastics processing, with a focus on injection molding. Strong understanding of polymer materials, mold design, and processing equipment. Hands-on experience with scientific molding techniques preferred. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
