Market Manager – Retail Direct Engagement Program Location: Charlotte, NC (In-Market Role | Up to 40-mile radius from Uptown Charlotte) Level: Mid-Senior Program Length: 24-Week Engagement Industry: Highly Regulated We're looking for a Market Manager who thrives in fast-paced, on-the-ground environments and knows how to lead teams, build retail relationships, and deliver flawless execution—while operating within strict regulatory guidelines. In this role, you'll serve as the primary market lead for a 24-week retail engagement program, overseeing field execution, team performance, compliance, and retail partnerships. You'll be equal parts coach, operator, problem-solver, and brand ambassador—ensuring the program shows up strong, accurate, and effective every single day. What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities) Program & Team Leadership • Lead, manage, and motivate a team of Brand Specialists throughout a 24-week retail engagement program. • Ensure team members are trained, supported, and consistently meeting performance and scheduling expectations. • Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and performance excellence in-market. Compliance & Accuracy • Uphold program integrity by ensuring strict adherence to all regulatory and brand guidelines. • Review daily field reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance—correcting discrepancies quickly. • Act as the escalation point for compliance concerns, ensuring swift resolution and transparency. Training & Development • Support onboarding, training, and ongoing coaching of field staff. • Equip specialists to confidently engage consumers, communicate product knowledge, and represent the brand professionally and compliantly. Operational Excellence • Manage inventory of program materials and assets—ensuring accurate tracking, distribution, and accountability. • Maintain store readiness and execution standards across all participating locations. Retail Engagement • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners through weekly in-person visits and ongoing communication. • Coordinate activation schedules, inventory planning, and program logistics with store managers. • Serve as a trusted partner to retailers—sharing insights, feedback, and performance metrics. Reporting & Insights • Deliver timely recaps, insights, and feedback to internal teams. • Monitor competitive activity and share best practices from the field. • Identify opportunities to improve execution, consumer engagement, and retailer satisfaction throughout the program. Who You Are • A hands-on leader who enjoys being in the field and setting the standard by example. • Confident managing teams in dynamic, consumer-facing environments. • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities at once. • Personable, engaging, and able to connect authentically with consumers, retailers, and field teams. • Calm, decisive, and solutions-focused—especially when navigating compliance requirements. What You Bring (Qualifications) • 5–7 years of experience in field marketing, brand activation, retail or nightlife engagement, or related roles. • Proven experience managing and coaching teams in fast-paced environments. • Strong understanding of compliance in regulated industries, with the ability to enforce guidelines consistently. • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and reporting skills. • Ability to quickly learn and confidently communicate complex product information. • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends as required by the program. • Ability to travel within a 40-mile radius of Uptown Charlotte. • Must be 21+, hold a valid driver's license, and have reliable transportation.
