Job Description A remote-first startup is seeking a FullStack Engineer for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys building scalable integrations, backend systems, and intuitive user experiences. Contract Duration: 3 month contract-to-hire Required Skills & Experience • 5+ years of experience in full stack development • Strong backend experience with Ruby on Rails • Frontend experience with Tailwind CSS and vanilla JavaScript • Proven experience building and scaling API integrations • Ability to lead architectural decisions and roadmap planning • Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-evolving environments • Strong communication and mentoring skills Desired Skills & Experience • Experience with ecommerce platforms and fulfillment systems • Familiarity with AI-driven workflows or tools • Data engineering or system monitoring experience • Interest in creator tools, automation, or digital commerce What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown • 50 percent backend development (Ruby on Rails) • 30 percent frontend development (Tailwind, JavaScript) • 20 percent integration architecture and system reliability Daily Responsibilities • hands-on coding • roadmap and architectural planning • team collaboration and mentoring The Offer • Contract-to-hire You will receive the following benefits: • Medical, dental, and vision insurance • Vacation time Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.
