Finance Infrastructure Engineer Our client, a defense-focused cybersecurity firm, is hiring a Finance Infrastructure Engineer to transform financial operations through automation, data integration, and intelligent workflow design. This hybrid finance-engineering role will modernize payroll, forecasting, and project accounting systems assuring accuracy, scalability, and compliance across all financial data pipelines. The company is located in the D.C. Area and will remain 100% remote; the candidate just needs to work EST hours. What You Will Be Doing • Lead core financial operations including payroll validation, cash flow, tax compliance, and project cost allocation. • Design and deploy automation and API integrations between payroll, ERP, and project-tracking platforms using Python, SQL, or similar tools. • Streamline labor rate modeling, project allocation, and expense reconciliation through end-to-end process automation. • Build real-time dashboards and forecasting tools to enhance budget and utilization visibility for leadership. • Ensure all financial systems and automations meet DCAA and defense contracting standards. • Partner with engineering and operations teams to align finance data flows with the organization’s broader infrastructure. Required Skills & Experience: • 5–10+ years of experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, or financial systems automation. • Proven expertise in automating and integrating financial platforms using Python, SQL, APIs, or Power BI. • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail; thrives in a remote, data-driven environment.
