About the position The Senior Human Resources Advisor and Payroll Administrator is responsible for providing comprehensive human resources advisory services and accurate, timely payroll administration in support of the organization’s strategic objectives. This role partners closely with leadership to align HR initiatives with overall organizational goals, ensuring that people strategies support operational effectiveness and business priorities. The Human Resources Advisor and Payroll Administrator thrives in a team-based environment, building strong relationships, contributing to cross-functional collaboration, and fostering a positive, engaged workplace culture through effective communication, professionalism, and a solutions-focused approach. The position works collaboratively with senior leadership to provide guidance on employee relations, policy interpretation, workforce planning, and compliance, while also influencing and supporting leaders across the organization in the consistent application of HR practices. In addition, the role oversees payroll processing, benefits administration, and related reporting, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and internal controls. Responsibilities • Provide guidance on employee relations • Provide guidance on policy interpretation • Provide guidance on workforce planning • Provide guidance on compliance • Oversee payroll processing • Oversee benefits administration • Oversee related reporting • Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and internal controls Requirements • 5-7 years of experience in a human resources role, preferably in a technology or consulting environment. • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations. • Administer benefits programs; address benefits-related inquiries. • Liaise with medical benefit carriers, as well as broker company. • Mediate disputes, conduct investigations, and recommend solutions. • Proficiency in HRIS Systems and Microsoft Office Suite. • Basic knowledge of websites for our benefit carriers, among others. • Communicate effectively with senior leaders. Translate complex HR concepts into business language. Present data-driven insights that influence decision-making. Collaborate across Divisions/Departments (Finance, Office Management, Marketing, Consulting Divisions, etc.). Foster a culture of collaboration. • Mentor Team Manager, and Director teams on situations that might arise. Help to inspire and lead HR towards excellence. • Oversee with the HR team the complete payroll processing cycle, ensuring all employee payments are processed accurately and in compliance with federal and state regulations. • Manage and reconcile with the HR team payroll-related accounts and prepare payroll tax filings to ensure all withholdings and deductions are accurately captured and reported.
