Full Description

Our law firm is looking for a full-time front office assistant/receptionist who can provide administrative support to office staff and attorneys, as well as print and prepare immigration packages for shipping. We are looking for someone who is motivated, detail-oriented, punctual, organized, and takes initiative. We are a diverse team and serve a high volume of Chinese clients. We are looking for someone to grow with our firm and we are willing to teach for professional development if the individual has interest and shows they have potential. Salary is $20.00-$30.00 per hour depending on experience. Schedule: Full time, Monday-Friday from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Must be on time daily and must take into account Houston traffic to arrive on time. Sample responsibilities: • Greeting clients, welcoming them to our office, providing water, coffee, or tea and placing them in the correct conference room. • Answering phone calls in a professional manner; taking down contact information, and transferring calls or messages to the correct individuals. • Constantly monitoring the Calendar to anticipate meetings/events occurring for the day. • Provides administrative support to legal assistants, primarily, by scanning documents, properly naming and saving documents, filing, etc. • Printing large immigration packages and prepare them for shipment. • Pick up mail / drop off mail at the post office or FedEx • Assists in planning and administration of events and meetings. • Maintain inventory of office supplies, snacks, and restocking supplies. • Maintain cleanliness of the office common areas (kitchen, reception, supply room, conference room, etc.) • Send out weekly lunch polls on Mondays in preparation for Friday team meetings/lunch. • Prepares agenda for internal team meetings and hosts the meetings by following the agenda schedule. • Assists with any other miscellaneous office-related projects. Preferred Skills: • Proficiency with Office programs (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.) • Experience with google calendar • Professional-style writing • English speaking and writing fluently • Proficiency in other languages, especially Chinese or Spanish, is a plus. • Must have your own vehicle. Part of your job duties entails going on errands for the office. Dress Code: • The person in this position must maintain a professional appearance, as you are the first and last impression of our office. • Must dress business-casual. • Hair/grooming: must be a natural hair color, and well-kept. • Facial piercings are not permitted. • No shorts are permitted. • Crop tops are not permitted. • Low-cut tops are not permitted. • Clothing cannot be excessively tight or revealing. • Skirts are permitted but must not be any shorter than a couple of inches above the knees. • Only on Fridays may you wear denim jeans but they should not have holes. Education: • Bachelor's degree required.
