Role Overview: As the Planning and Scheduling Manager for our Civil team, you will play a critical role in driving project success through effective planning, scheduling, and coordination. You will work closely with project teams and stakeholders to ensure timelines are met, resources are optimized, and risks are managed proactively in a dynamic construction environment. What You'll Do: - You will develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using industry-standard software. - You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to align schedules and resolve conflicts. - You will monitor project progress and provide regular reports to leadership and clients. - You will identify potential risks and delays, proposing mitigation strategies to keep projects on track. - You will lead schedule review meetings and facilitate communication across teams. - You will ensure compliance with company policies and industry best practices in scheduling. - You will mentor and support junior planning staff to enhance team capabilities. - You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the planning and scheduling function. What You Bring: - Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction planning and scheduling, preferably in civil infrastructure projects. - Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. - Strong understanding of construction processes, resource allocation, and risk management. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams. - Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment while maintaining attention to detail. - Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with Lean construction principles and techniques. - PMP or PSP certification. - Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and integrated project delivery methods. - Previous leadership experience managing planning teams.
